Residents like Marine Corps veteran Mark Nelson and Navy veteran Tom Perks reflected on their service, sharing stories that highlight both the pride and challenges of military life.
Mark shared, “A Marine never retires; he’s always a Marine — lifetime.” Tom recounted the impact of his service and the changing recognition of Vietnam veterans over the years.
